Location

Where are you?

We are here on Google Maps. We are near St Asaph in North Wales, about a mile and a half off the main A55 coast road. Find out more on our Location page.

How far are you from Snowdonia (and Snowdon)?

Snowdonia National Park is about 35 minutes away.

If you’re planning to take the Snowdon Mountain Railway or walk up Snowdon from Llanberis then you’re about 50 minutes away. Alternatively you are about 1hr away from the Pen y Pass car park, a popular starting point for the Pyg Track route up Snowdon. The Pyg Track route takes about 6hrs to complete – up Snowdon and back down again!

How much is it?

Prices per hut for 7 nights start from £280. Our weekly prices are on our Prices page.

What time is check in and check out?

On the day of your arrival you can check in from 3pm.

On the day of departure check out is usually at 10am, this is due to the time needed to clean the hut and prepare it for the next guests.

If you would like a later checkout time then please contact us during your stau and we will certainly try to accommodate you.

Do you take part-week and short stay bookings?

Yes.

Can I pay cash?

No. We prefer payment by Paypal, Bank Transfer or Cheque.

Dogs

Do dogs go free?

Yes.

Do you allow multiple dogs?

Yes.

Please note: If they are the size of small Shetland Ponies then multiple dogs may not fit in one hut!

Do you accept all breeds of dogs?

Yes. All breeds are welcome.

How secure are the paddocks around the huts?

The paddocks are secure as long as your dog cannot jump a 4ft high fence or escape through a 4 inch wide hole!

Can I leave my dog in the hut?

No.

Do you have you kennels ?

We used to have kennels but we no longer use them and we offer a free dog sitting in our home, for a maximum of 4 hours if pre-arranged. This must be pre-arranged and booked in advance and usually with a few days notice. It is also worth noting that many of the local pubs and places to eat are really dog friendly. Amenities and Facilities?

What is in the huts?

All our huts are self-contained and have a double bed, log-burning stove, fitted kitchens and bathrooms and a secure ‘dog-safe’ paddock outside. Take a look at the pages describing the facilities in each hut to find out more.

Can I park next to the hut?

Yes. Each hut has parking for one vehicle alongside it. Additional parking is available if needed, please contact us to find out more.

What type of toilets are in the huts?

Each hut has its own ‘normal’ flush toilet – as you would find in most houses.

Are there BBQ facilities?

Yes.

Is there free WiFi available?

Yes.

Are bedding and towels provided?

Bedding is provided but we have stopped providing towels to help us keep prices from 2023 onwards.

Do you provide free firewood?

Yes, we provide you with logs and kindling.

How far away is the pub?

Our nearest pub is about a 10 minutes walk (0.3 miles) away, but is not open every day. The next nearest pub is the White House Inn, which is a 40 minutes (2 mile) walk away and it is open every day.

Do you have a hot tub?

No, but the Clydes Hut has a very romantic, double ended, slipper bath!

Can we meet the animals?

Yes. We’re happy for you to meet and have pictures taken with the rare breed Shire Horses and goats (but be prepare to get nibbled by the goats). If you wish to do so please have a chat with us first so we can arrange a suitable time for you.
