We have restructured our price list to include prices for short stays.
With rising bills for almost everything we have been racking our brains to come up with ideas that will prevent us from having to increase our prices dramatically.
As everyone is aware fuel and electric prices have gone through the roof, along with the price of logs and kindling, which we use to fuel the wood burning stoves both inside the shepherd’s hut and for the fires outside.
So…
We considered turning your electric off and giving you a candle, but we were worried about a naked flame in a wooden structure!
We considered turning off the gas. Cold water is apparently both healthy to drink and washing! (Lol)
We considered not supplying clean bedding. Our horses tell us straw is both comfortable and warm to sleep in! (Lol)
We even considered charging for dogs. But that was a very fleeting thought as if you have already been, you’ll know we love our dogs and yours too. Basically we are happy to charge people but not our canine friends!
So what did we decide?
So we decided to no longer provide towels and let you wash in hot water, cook hot food with the electric lights on and drip dry in front of the log burner!
So, if you decide to come and stay with us please bring your own towels or drip dry! (Lol)
