If you’re looking for a romantic holiday for two (and your dogs if you have them) then you’ve found it!
Here at the Shepherds Hideaway in North Wales our beautiful luxury Shepherds huts offer our guests the perfect romantic holiday hideaway here in beautiful North Wales.
All our huts are situated in the foothills of the beautiful Clwydian mountain range and each set in their own fenced off area within a field which is approximately 1 acre in area. Whilst just over a mile from the A55 the sound of traffic is a thing of the past, and is replaced by the sound of bird song and wildlife, with the lambs calling for their mums and the ducks playing and laughing in the pond.
Our huts are all surprisingly spacious, but also very cosy and intimate.
Each hut boasts a double bed (two of which are Victorian cast iron ones) with a beautiful stained glass window above and a romantic log fire to offer a comfortable ‘olde-worlde’ setting for cuddling up to your loved one. The Clydes bathroom also has a luxury double-ended slipper bath for two and allows our guests to share a bath-time experience not to be forgotten, whilst The Shire Hut, The Gypsy The Shetland and The Suffolk offer a walk in wet room and powerful shower. The Shetland has a 4ft wide bed, so if you need a wider bed then please consider one of our other huts.
The views from within our huts, or from the adjacent decked areas are of secluded, rolling countryside, with the birds feeding from bird feeders and the bees busying themselves as only bees can!
On colder days and nights our romantic holiday guests can warm their toes, and hearts, in front of a wood burner, with logs and kindling supplied as standard.
The old fashioned lighting offers romantic ambient lighting and the stain glass windows light up the room as the sun goes down in the evenings. .
Outside the hut is an outdoor stove, decking area and cast iron table and chairs offer the perfect alfresco dining and offers a dry place to sit when the ground is wet in the evening. From the decking our guests often watch the sun setting across the fields accompanied with a glass of the sparkling wine we provide our guests on arrival.
In the morning as the sun rises at the front door our guests can enjoy a lie-in with the top of the stable door open, or enjoy a beautiful view of the Clwydian range or a low lying mist! At night the park is romantically lit by lovely old barn lights which sit on sweet chestnut ‘post and rail’ fencing which surrounds the orchard in the middle of the park.
