Dog Friendly Places to Eat and Drink

One of the first questions our guests often ask us is for recommendations for places to eat and drink locally, and often they want to know if they are dog friendly. So here are our top recommendations on dog friendly places to get you started….

And whilst these are our top three its worth pointing out there are plenty of other options throughout the area.

Need a lift?

If you would like a free lift to the White House or St Asaph (probably to the Plough) please just ask us (but please give us some notice!)

The White House, Rhuallt

The White House is our nearest place to eat and drink.

The White House is a family-run restaurant with rooms, gym and spa, located in Rhuallt, North Wales. They serve homemade dishes, created using the finest, freshest local ingredients and prepared from scratch by our talented team of chefs. Just minutes from the Shepherds Hideaway, the White House is easily accessible and makes an ideal stop-off for lunch, dinner, coffee or a catch up with friends on the way to/from your destination, large car park and children’s play area.

The Plough Inn, St Asaph

The Plough is a dog friendly pub and provides treats, water bowls and also has items on its menu that are specifically for dogs. From their home made specials daily to their speciality Roast on a Sunday they offer good honest homemade food, with a choice of eating in our Restaurant, Lounge Area or Cosy Bar or our new COVID friendly outside huts.

The Dinorben Arms, Bodfari

The Dinorben Arms sits in the heart of the small village of Bodfari, nestled in the shadows of St Stephen’s church. The building is steeped in history and loved by many who remember her of old; 1970’s dinner dates in the beamed snug at the front of the building which greets you as you enter via the front doors or childhood memories of peering into the old well which now sits in front of our bar. A tall tower has been added to the rear of the building with a spacious terrace, to take in the glorious views across the stunning hills beyond.
